Arrears of basic pay deduction

Just checked my payslip and see an arrears of basic pay and allowances of about £115 from my wages.
I'm showing full 37 hours paid.
I presume that means they overpaid my back pay last week and have now clawed it back this week.

You could try writing a query note to the bookroom upstairs and they should be back within 24 hours.

Not sure if I'm posting in the right place here, but has anyone noticed a massive shortfall in our backpay?
Seems to only cover August / September. Where's the rest? Someone in our office has taken this up with our area manager. Any others noticed?

On the paylsips just below the dated back pay items there will be one more with no dates specified, this will be much more than the other amounts and includes everything from 1st April until the date the offer was accepted or thereabouts. The same goes for all the other backdated elements too, several dated items followed by one more that covers the rest.

I calculated my back pay personally and the figures I came up with were within £2 of what I actually received.

Did you calculate 4.2% of pay topline.

I calculated 4.2% on everything except my driving allowance and the interim royal mail payment of my extra dental insurance (salary scrifice) I also calculated the extra Tax and NI due plus the extra deductions for the pension contributions.

The diference between my figures and RM was negligable and probably due to me using figures for this tax year rather than the 1st of April which RM should have used and it was too much effort to try and include this myself (I am just a lazy postman after all)

Yes I've seen that. However, it refers to arrears of basic pay. It says nothing about overtime. A colleague of mine who does overtime, compared his figure with another colleague who does none. The difference was very little, nowhere near enough to reflect the difference in their respective pay packets.

Yes I've seen that. However, it refers to arrears of basic pay. It says nothing about overtime. A colleague of mine who does overtime, compared his figure with another colleague who does none. The difference was very little, nowhere near enough to reflect the difference in their respective pay packets.

The difference in ot is 56p per hour take home pay.
