Do the pc’s in your office ever get a restart?

Post by postmanzach »

Ours never get turned off let alone a restart. They just go into hibernation mode. Heard the phg complaining about how slow it is and pretty sure managers one is the same.
Not restarting the pc once a week or so really can slow it down.

Most of us probably never use them. I only see the union rep and office postie on them.

Sometimes updates are automatically downloaded but you need to reboot them to install it, that could be why it's slowing down.

it’s not just updates
restarting a PC can significantly improve its speed by clearing out RAM, closing background processes that consume resources, and resolving temporary glitches, memory leaks, and software conflicts. While it doesn't magically boost hardware performance, a restart provides a fresh start, freeing up the system to run more efficiently. Making it a regular, weekly habit can prevent sluggishness and improve overall performance and stability.
