Prioritising first class letters

Anyone else been told to prioritise first class letters over tracked 48? Mental how in a week can go from tracked tracked tracked don’t worry about mail to doing letters over 48T.

That won't last long, the big senders of T48 will start kicking off about the T48 they send getting delayed.

I thought the extra 24hrs that it takes before a T48 arrives at the delivery office is accounted for traveling through the network so surely when it arrives at the do it has the same 'status' as a T24 ?

Me too, but for everything item that arrives in the office, the difference in 'class' is how quickly it is processed through the network. Everything that arrives in a DO on a particular day 'should' be delivered.......

Yes same as everything that turns up on the day, but while Tracked is not bound by a guaranteed delivery date the volume contracts expect them to be treated like Specials. Moonpig kicked up about their stuff being rolled over during the strikes. Whichever company complains this November, expect their items to get added to the expanding wishlist of priorities.

Me too, but for everything item that arrives in the office, the difference in 'class' is how quickly it is processed through the network. Everything that arrives in a DO on a particular day 'should' be delivered.......

I guess something as to give it somebody can't deliver all the Specials, Tracked & 1c mail? If RM are taking on more parcel business and now want 1c delivered daily they need to recruit more posties.

1C is dispatched to the inward MC the day it arrives, 2C is dispatched to the inward MC the next day

So as we've already known for ever as soon as anything arrives at the delivery office it's due to be delivered which doesn't really tie in with all this 1c has to be delivered but other stuff can be left bollocks.
