Unaddressed mail products have a contractual delivery date, i.e, to be delivered week commencing. They will be delivered as per the work plan for the office.

Out of interest, are the COMs at these DOs being offered a bigger bonus than the rest of them running non-pilot DOs?

This 1st class mail It's just adding a extra 20-30 drops to a already max workload, we had non stamped 1st class today to "the occupier" , surely this kind of "1st" class shouldn't be put on us, should just be addressed stamped

Why are they doing it now? We are literally weeks away from peak and USO reform has been kicked down the road. So why now? What are they up to?

We have had the same. It’s not possible. You end up doing first class letters and failing tracked or delivering all the tracked but failing on your letters.

Just ask them what they want you to do, I was instructed to come back with the 1st class today if I didn’t have enough time after clearing the tracked off a pairing. I went 45 minutes over just doing that (at my choice) if I had done the 1st class as well it would have been another hour.

I thought Royal Mail didn't prioritise tracked

By rights the 1st Class items should be delivered before Tracked, as the latter is not a USO-regulated product. RM's core competency, the whole reason for the company's existence, is the thing that it ranks least important. Still, the hardon for clearing the 1C letters I would imagine is to prevent an embarassing failure to meet Ofcom's newer softer QoS targets that the company so desired.

Don't worry about 'Peak', though. Once we enter the exemption period on December 1st the 1C will be allowed to languish in the frames with the rest of the letters. It's November that's been terrible for the last decade ever since Tracked exploded.
