So if you arrive back at the office lets say 10 minutes before clocking out time but dont clock out until 10 minutes after it, do you get paid an extra 10 mins?

Clocking out late wont trigger overtime.

You need to clock out when you finish your duty, clock back in again for the start of overtime, and then clock out at the end of your overtime.

Not really it would flag up that someone has signed out after their finish time so presumably the manager would want to know the reason for the overtime.

So let me get this right. If you are running over and are out on your round you need to clock off at your exact finish time and then clock back in again and then clock back out again when you get back to the delivery office when you are finished.

It does sound like a stupid system they've made up.
Whole point of computers is automation. Especially when it comes to numbers.
If Ur finishing is 3pm and u scan out at 3:30pm.
I don't see why it can't just automatically give u 30mins overtime when u scan out.
Must be another reason why they've made up a clumsy system.
Maybe hoping ppl forget to sign out and back in.
So don't get paid the overtime and say it's Ur own fault for not doing it correctly.

From what I understand it's just what we've had in our DO for the last 18 months- if you go over it's paid to the minute based on SISO, if you want to do a packet duty of an afternoon you have to clock out at your time then back in again. If we work our rest day our pay is to the minute from scanning in and out rather than a flat full days pay.

We are one of the bigger DO's and they force these things upon us while our neighbouring posties continue ghosting etc

We've been told the manager inputs the OT he's authorised agreed and we just need to sign in/out as normal i.e. if your doing i hrs IPS you need to sign in 1 hr before the official start time if you're doing 1 hrs LATs sign out an hour later. No idea what happens if the LATs take 1hr 30 mins as traffic was heavier than anticipated, or the manager under estimated how long you'd take, and so you sign out 1 hr 30 mins after the official end time.

Also with no paperwork to complete what happens if you are under paid by an hour or more, how do you prove what hours you've worked?

At both depots I've been they've strongly recommended using anything but the designated SISO PDAs to sign in and out... But maybe this will change.
