20% of Royal Mail profits of £12 million equals about £20 each (if we still have 125,000 staff)

Re: £278m profits!!
I overlooked the £278 was IDS' overall profits, the £12m profits made by RM just highlights how difficult it will be to make RM really profitable, I'd be surprised if it can afford to hand out the pay increases etc to new starters the CWU is claiming they will be getting.
The 6% increase in parcel volumes supports the view we've been lot busier delivering parcels in the last year.

I was wondering who they were, what was the total cost, £20M, that could be 1,000+ employees?qwerty2 wrote: ↑01 Sep 2025, 18:41They made a loss if you include redundanciesTopperGas wrote: ↑01 Sep 2025, 13:07I overlooked the £278 was IDS' overall profits, the £12m profits made by RM just highlights how difficult it will be to make RM really profitable, I'd be surprised if it can afford to hand out the pay increases etc to new starters the CWU is claiming they will be getting.
