Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
We have gone from being a top 10 office nationwide, to having 5-6 rounds uncovered a day. If it is a s**t show in our office it must be a hellish landscape across the country. In our case it is people leaving and not being replaced and managers not being allowed to fill the vacancies because of the doubt with the USO reform right now.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Royal mail probably haven't considered that as the pay for new contracts is now pretty much minimum wage they may have even more trouble recruiting for Christmas.

Does anyone have any information on headcount for delivery, monthly for the year to date?

You'll have a hard time finding that data for the very reasons you state it is of interest. Unless the union discloses it, the company will keep that guarded.
The annual reports give detailed breakdowns of staff, although recent years have far more pages dedicated to CO2 emission, human rights, and GLS in general than hard data about RM, and in the future there won't be any now that the company is no longer publically traded. I look out for the yearly Christmas press release which always specifies how many people are on the street.
The machine stops.
