That comparison doesn't make sense as it isn't the same job.
It wasn't a comparison of the roles, but a comparison of how much training is required/given.

I agree, there is barely any real training now and it shows. Staff turnover in our office is like Kings Cross station with a constant stream of new faces, in and out. That says a lot about how the job is being devalued and how poorly supported new recruits are.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

All the CWU adherents in here again attacking working class people, slagging off their jobs as 'low skilled'. There is no such thing as a low skilled job. The terminology 'low skilled' is used to drive down wages. The training period for workers in delivery is 12 weeks and the standards are rigorous. Many workers do not finish the training. Anyone reading this thread will see the CWU loyalists, and lets call them what they are - working class traitors, for what they are. This is yet another reason not to give that awful organisation, the CWU, a penny.
12 weeks? Rigorous? :left:
3 days learning the new duty is all our new starters get, unless they are quick learners then it'll be just 2 days, the only other training they'll then get is a couple of days learning another new duty.

Trams, you undoubtedly speak some quite a lot of sense, but phrases like “working class traitors” when referring to fellow posties weakens the sensibility of what you are otherwise saying and does nothing except alienate people. Airs, graces and delusions of grandeur aside, the unescapable fact is probably 90% of us on the shop floor have “working class” bona fides. By all means use the word “traitor” to describe the union leadership…

Everyone knows trams is the forums fool. His posts are pure bial and bigotry. The hatred in this man's soul spills over to his keyboard warriors personality and in all honesty is probably the bloke you avoid in the workplace.

Yet again posting that if you don't agree with his views then your a traitor is testament.

In all of stage3 reposts of WSWS articles.

Everyone voted for the deal are branded traitors, sellouts. Even the deal is branded, the sell out deal, though a majority voted for it. The bigotry is the sheer hatred towards the CWU, RM and the regulator.

Not smug or even superior, simply equal with a voice. And if the vote went the other way I'd still accept it. But I do call out the bigotry that condemns people's free choice.

You sound like a complete fruit loop. Course you are free to welcome pay cuts and increased workload, but it does make you a bit odd.

Who says I welcome pay cuts and increased work loads?

What a weird reply.
