Gift Suggestions for a postie!

Post by T24 Wyvern »

Howdy all!

Not an RM employee myself mostly a customer; but my dad has been a postie now for about 3 years, and so I was wondering if anyone here might have any suggestions for gifts that might make his job easier?

I was thinking along the lines of nifty clothing for the summer heat or ergonomic water bottles or something like that. But I'm curious if there's any other helpful items or gadgets you folks wished you'd had on your early runs?

Any suggestions appreciated, and thank y'all for your service! <3

20 Years and 1 year since retirement here.

It's only an opinion, but a drinks bottle that helps keep the drink he has hot or cold is a good idea. Also, all year round, insoles that help reduce impact on the feet can be fantastic.

Or perhaps even just an Amazon gift card with an instruction that whatever he gets helps him when he is at work, that way you are still helping him, but he knows best what he needs.

Also welcome, get your Dad on here as well :nana :nana

Vodka.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
