The fatigue issue is still the elephant in the room , amongst other issues
100%. But on one hand we've got the CWU trying to get an agreement so that no-one works more than 3 walking days in a row (with zero info on how this works in practice). And on the other hand there is a push in some quarters for a Mon-Fri only for some staff to make up for the fatigue they will experience walking 5 days straight.
Is there a push for Mon - Fri for non drivers? Obviously I've seen people keen on it post here but the only thing I've seen from the CWU was there will be work for non drivers on Saturdays.

I will wait to see if anyone answers my previous post but I've not read of any office where non drivers work Mon - Fri.

We’ve been told when 3 people do 4 duties the lapsing will be taken off so we’ll be walking less
And yes we’ll have 2-3 days mail some days but that’s still less mail then we had years ago
So I don’t know what the so called union are on about fatigue

If fatigue is already an issue then why would any non-driver want Monday to Friday ? You’d be absolutely knackered every single week.

Then you’ve been told wrong. You will be walking further because of the increased call rate.

My delivery ( both sides ) has been able to be done in the last 2-3 weeks because of the time of year and at about 50 percent call rate it takes about 5:20 and is 16 miles long. That call rate goes up above 85 then I’m waking much further and it takes way longer.

You also didn’t have 100 plus tracked years ago or boxes or collection on delivery.

I’ve said in other posts , some offices are in for a massive shock with this.

I'm not sure of the plans but Non Drivers will be working Saturday, union have stressed this, maybe as a drivers mate covering extra work and help to clear what comes in in the morning.

When all this gets rolled out are we having a repick straight away?
I'm just thinking if you have duties A&B then C&D currently with 4 people, it will then go down to 3 people over them same 4 duties making the 4th person spare.

Also would there be an even mix of full timers and part timers on each set because 3 full timers together would give them a better advantage over having 2 full timers and a part timer who doesn't start til 9am when you need them to make some door to doors up!!

Repicks asap have to be done otherwise there will be a lot of senior people kicked off their duty
Surely there will only be a repick in the offices that have had changes to more than 30% of all deliveries across the entire office as per the current agreements that are in place. Also duty holders that have not had any changes made to their deliveries would be exempt from taking part in said repick unless willing as per the Way Forward Agreement, no?
A change to the times and rotation you work is meant to trigger a full repick so everyone in the office would be affected, plus there is no revision before this comes in so duty content wouldnt really change unless some duties are made smaller when the duties are put back in which seems to have happened in nearly all the pilot offices. But if lots of people's duties are going , 4 current duties might only be available for 3 people to pick onto how would there not be a full repick?

Major change does trigger a repick, however duties that have not changed do not have to be included in the repick if the duty holder doesnt want it included. Read the agreement and you'll know.

You are in for a shock if you think there wont be a repick
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next
