The USO Changes are always going to be brought regardless of any pay deal.toonshola wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 17:23The pay deal will be average at best, in line with what other companies give as standard without dealing with a union. That won’t stop Dave and Martin saying they have done the impossible by getting us around 10-12% over 3 years though so I look forward to that hilarious drama.
It’s the strings and the USO change that will be bolted onto it that we need to be aware of, it will be the stuff of nightmares for us on delivery’s.

Re: Agreement reached
They will endorse it. They will let you know about it when they decide to, because they make the rules and have all the power and information.voodou7628 wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 15:16[X]ROYAL MAIL GROUP NEGOTIATORS AGREEMENT REACHED
We have today reached a negotiators agreement with Royal Mail Group on pay and issues related to section 5 of the December 2024 EP Group / CWU agreement.
In line with the unions rules, the CWU Postal Executive will now debate and vote on the agreement. We will share the timeline for this meeting as soon as we have it.
If it is endorsed by the Postal Executive we will share the full details of the agreement as part of an extensive communications exercise ahead of a full members ballot.
We thank members for both your patience and support.
Martin Walsh
Deputy General Secretary Postal
Dave Ward [/
You will know nothing until they choose to let you know just to remind you that you have no power or choice and must accept what they tell you
to accept.
You will be shafted yet again and judging by the required “extensive communications exercise” this sellout will be bigger than usual.
Bye

It'll be voted in or out by delivery staff, who outnumber MC staff if a fairly recent thread had accurate figures 8:1HarrySutton111 wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 19:25Don't forget if you think it's crap to vote no, don't just moan about it use your vote

Re: Agreement reached
So if we get it agreed and paid in August, say, it might mean a lump sum of about £400-£500 in backpay (depending on OT worked), or at least it hopefully will be for me (40-hr contract, new-entrant contract, work one rest day every week, do a bit of extra OT twice or thrice a week). Not gonna complain about that. If I’m being honest — and frank — I’m more worried about the CWU perhaps having negotiated away my 1.25 OT rate, which would drastically reduce my earnings.SMS1969 wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 18:59It won’t be far off this.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 17:27How likely is 5% this year, 2.5% apiece for next year and the year after?

The lumper won’t take overtime into consideration, it didn’t last time. Part timers got 75% of the full sum even if they worked more hours than full timers. Take what you can.

Possible I guess, though you might get to earn more if they start to equalise pay on the basic rate.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 19:39So if we get it agreed and paid in August, say, it might mean a lump sum of about £400-£500 in backpay (depending on OT worked), or at least it hopefully will be for me (40-hr contract, new-entrant contract, work one rest day every week, do a bit of extra OT twice or thrice a week). I thought you used your ''two consecutive days off each week'' for your many commitments?Smoothbackground wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 19:39So if we get it agreed and paid in August, say, it might mean a lump sum of about £400-£500 in backpay (depending on OT worked), or at least it hopefully will be for me (40-hr contract, new-entrant contract, work one rest day every week, do a bit of extra OT twice or thrice a week). I do indeed. Would you like me to list my commitments and engagements in a similar fashion to PMQs?!Acca Dacca wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 20:39I thought you used your ''two consecutive days off each week'' for your many commitments?
