[X]ROYAL MAIL GROUP NEGOTIATORS AGREEMENT REACHED

We have today reached a negotiators agreement with Royal Mail Group on pay and issues related to section 5 of the December 2024 EP Group / CWU agreement.

In line with the unions rules, the CWU Postal Executive will now debate and vote on the agreement. We will share the timeline for this meeting as soon as we have it.

If it is endorsed by the Postal Executive we will share the full details of the agreement as part of an extensive communications exercise ahead of a full members ballot.

We thank members for both your patience and support.

Martin Walsh
Deputy General Secretary Postal

It would be nice if they just said how much it was.

I have heard that they turned down 4% first year, then between 2-3% for years 2 and 3. So it’s better than that. :dance

It’s a negotiators agreement, it still needs to be signed off by the RM board and CWU PEC. It’s standard procedure.

Why can't the CWU just tell us what's been proposed, it's not like the CWU PEC are ever going to reject the offer and tell DW/MW they must try and get a better deal?

More worried bout the disaster coming soon to our offices than the pay rise tbh.

The pay deal will be average at best, in line with what other companies give as standard without dealing with a union. That won’t stop Dave and Martin saying they have done the impossible by getting us around 10-12% over 3 years though so I look forward to that hilarious drama.
It’s the strings and the USO change that will be bolted onto it that we need to be aware of, it will be the stuff of nightmares for us on delivery’s.

How likely is 5% this year, 2.5% apiece for next year and the year after?
