Had my first RTC in 30 years today.
100% not at fault as I was hit while stationary.
The woman that hit me got all shirty because She didn't "Have Time For This" and calls her husband who shows up 2 mins later.
I think you can guess were this going, of course he gets all heated up saying no damage why you want our insurance ?
They refused to give insurance details and due to him squaring up to me with clenched fists I called 999 and reported it, even tho the Police said they will not attend. Thanks for that.
I did drive away to deescalate the situation.
He will be charged with a Public Order Offense due the verbal abuse I suffered and the threat of physical violence directed towards me.
Along with the stress of the job I'm fed up with members of the public treating us this way, it's not acceptable and should not be tolerated.

Its a criminal offence to obstruct a postal worker in the course of their duties. Have the police confirmed they will be investigating on that basis?

I had something similar but I won’t go into the details on here. The perp was wearing his branded work clothing which also resulted in him getting the sack, karma.

Was their any noticeable damage to the RM van? If so and the driver refused to exchange details then that is also an offence.menditsa wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025, 22:30Had my first RTC in 30 years today.
