No solutions is still being offered so far.

As to racism Labour had a very poor record in that record especially under Corbyn, I have noticed Labour never had an ethnic leader or a female, while the Tories had four female leaders and two ethnic leaders.

Which is the real party of equality ?
Why are you championing the Tories? They have systematically destroyed the UK, every time they have been in power since the 1970s

I agree with a lot of the things you post here, but that is the ultimate cop-out answer tbh.
Waste your ballot. It was never set up as a real democracy anyway. And it still disenfranchises voters, even those who pay tax still cannot vote.

A solution? It has no solution.

The Labour Party led by Corbyn did more to address the systematic bigotry, sexism and racism of the Labour Party to the point where the party buried the report on racism. The Tories still haven't dealt with the institutional bigotry, sexism and racism they suffer from to the point where the party buried the report on racism.

None of the parties believe in equity or equality. The political system doesn't work like that. Reform have out and out racists, fascist and Nazis in its ranks and simply let candidates stand for election.

Just be honest about what it is you want. Then join whatever group it is that mirrors your ideology. Reform is not that group.

calling Reform a "fascist" party when it does contain members from ethnic minorities is desperate.
You don't think people from "ethnic minorities" can be fascists?

It's quite telling that Labour claiming to be champions of equality are not so, feets of clay.

You must be totally brainwashed to ignore that and say how pure Labour is and Corbyn is a Saint.

I'm not necessarily a Tory fan but it has to noticed that they have four female leaders and one of them is black and a Hindu Prime Minister, the Tory front bench has high representation of ethnic minorities, far more than Labour.

Trying to drown out Reform by saying they're fascist and racist only has the opposite effect and that's the fault of Labour for ignoring what the electorate wants.

Really this is about Corbyn and Muslims. You've won that fight and the outcome is where you are now. Rewriting history implying that the Conservative and Unionist Party is progressive, when it is nothing of the sort. The Tories are soaked in the blood of the working class. A party is not progressive because it allows membership to diverse communities. The parliamentary party is not representative of the membership which remains what it has always been - monocultural.

The Labour and Cooperative Party has had far more representatives from diverse communities. The parliamentary party has always been representative of the members - multicultural. The EHRC definition of antisemitism was discredited and the report was challenged. The Tories were also found to have been institutionally racist. Islamophobia is rife in the Tory party. So what's this about? Your hatred of Corbyn or your support of Islamophobia?

And that leads us into the cheer leaving for Reform. Reform offer very little but one thing they can give you is the attack on Islam and Muslims that their members crave. They are also a conduit for attacking socialism and socialists. All this will do is force the Labour Party to cave in to the right and the Tories to the hard right. This is a disaster for the working class and those who make up the working class such as Muslims.

The way to stop Reform is to not vote for it. Part of that campaign is to drown out their message by calling them what they are - capitalists, bosses, fascists, racists, sexists, bigots, anti-worker, anti-working class. The biggest part is ensuring they have no support so that the other parties cannot lurch to the right to maintain their vote share. Working class people are not demanding racism, fascism and bigotry. They aren't. To say otherwise is bullshit.

You say that voting Reform will "shake things up" on what basis, more scapegoating of migrants or refugees, Starmer doing his Enoch Powell tribute act and Farage boasting how much he has learnt from him.

The issue which needs to be addressed is what is the source of "the problem" - its not people fleeing wars, environmental disasters, poverty and persecution - but the filthy enrichment of the self-same corporations and financial interests gorging themselves on wealth from looting society at the expense of the working class of every nationality on the planet. You say the working class does not exist, untrue it larger and more integrated globally then its ever been it needs a perspective which reflects that reality to fight for its independent interests - that is the fight for equality.

Farage can only claim to be "anti-establishment" because of how right wing and pro-capitalist the Labour Party is. That does not change the fact he is a racist and xenophobe and a representative of big business hostile to the working class, no less than his political ally the would be dictator Donald Trump. There is growing opposition in the working class to Trump based on his real agenda of rule by the oligarchy, including among those who voted for him, that includes his attacks on free speech, migrants and promotion of tariffs. Of course you won't read that in the mainstream media which is mainstreaming the right wing.

Starmer is not Trump but this Labour government is aping his agenda, counterposing Labour to Reform won't cut it. Its a government of Thatcherites and warmongers. Corbyn handed the reigns back to the Blairites after throwing his own supporters under the bus including the libel of anti-Semitism against opponents of the Israeli state and its genocidal agenda. The working class has never been in this position before of total disenfranchisement the vacuum created by the betrayals of the Labour Party and trade unions needs to be challenged from the left and the fight to build a genuine party of the working class based on international unity and and the fight for socialism. That is what the Socialist Equality Party puts forward https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2025/0 ... s-m23.html

Some interesting points made including conceding Labour has failed, beyond dispute anyway.

Socialist Equality Party at present does have the same gravitas and publicity as Reform does.

Now what's the solution if not Reform? Genuine question. :hmmmm

What those on so-called Far Left don't realise is they are just as much a part of this "Establishment" as Labour or the Tories, and as such want to see the status quo continue just as long as they can be a (very minor) part of it.
What they do realise is that Reform are hoovering up votes in their traditional heartlands, and fast removing any relevance the Far Left had left.
Then again, the vociferous attacks on Reform and it's supporters are reminiscent of the insults and derogatory name-calling as used by Remainers prior to Brexit, and are more likely to repel than attract voters.
"Nazi's, fascists, anti-Islam, etc etc." but that doesn't work anymore.
Ten years time when we (unfortunately) have some sort of Hard Right government in power all the hand-wringing North London elites will be able to reflect on what happens when you act like Gordon Brown and ignore/dismiss ordinary people's concerns, and so end up with the very thing you feared and despised.

So just because someone is of a certain colour or sex, means they should be put into places. Don't think so. Best person for the job should get it regardless off colour or sex. The black conservative leader is only in place until the Tories sort themselves out. She will be gone about 18 months before the next election. Just in time for a new leader, who is electable. She is not, although I do like her I don't vote tory.

Who is a credible answer then? Labour are almost as bad as the Tories at this point. Reform will just do a "Lib-dems" when they win and team up with whatever 'big brother' has the most votes at the next general election.

Fair point, Labour have drifted from their roots and often feel like yet another Tory Party. Reform might shake things up but not in a way that benefits working class people because when you strip back the rhetoric, its still a hard right pro-privatisation, pro-bosses party that will sell us out just like the rest.

The only party that speaks our language is the Green Party because they talk about taxing the super-rich, they want to restore public services and protect workers rights without pandering to the billionaires. They have consistently backed renationalising public services, stronger union rights and wealth taxes on the richest 1% of the UK to fund housing, NHS and social care. These billionaires or people who own more than £10 million won't go anywhere else because what they own are assets and from an economic point of view what this does is push the property prices up so it becomes unaffordable for many ordinary people to actually own a home. The problem isn't immigrants directly which is being used as a 'wedge issue' by the main political parties. The Green Party are not bankrolled by hedge funds or media moguls and it's just a shame that most people don't view them as a credible choice - but that is the party that I would back that genuinely supports working people.

The Green Party? Is it one or two MP's they have now?
As much a joke as the Monster Raving Loony Party.
All that Leftie-Lite nonsense is as dead (if not more so) than the Tories.

And since when did Green policies ever help the Working Joes of this world?

Mock all you want but the Green Party are actually publishing policy. What we have is a broken voting system where the main players dominate but it really doesn't mean their policies are a joke. The Greens back a £15 min wage, a 4 day working week, public ownership of water, rail and energy, equal pay for agency/contracted workers, they want to reverse anti-strike legislation with strong protections for trade unions and a wealth tax on billionaires to fund better public services.

If you're working class and wondering who is really standing up for you then it sure as hell isn't Reform who would rather privatise the NHS and crush unions. Why haven't you asked yourself why the only party that wants to tax the ultra-rich is the one that you're laughing at?
