Today was interesting, some non de script knob-head from Manchester came all the way down to London to award our DO some bullshit award for DPR excellence, wow whoopee f***ing do a tiny box of chocolates and a pointless certificate.
Does this Regional Manager understand the figures he based this award on are all fraudulent ?
Of course he don't, another useless £50K plus a year twat.
I had work to do but had to spend 15 mins listening to this gormless twat waffle on.

Rant over. :arrrghhh

They are eventually going to put your all on 4 on 4 off. That way they can cover everything and people can recover also. And you only work 4 .5 month off the year when you take holidays into account. There will be a red team and a blue team. Anybody want to bet.

I'm reading it right that the writings on the wall whichever working pattern they use and the question is whether the Union will fight it or if it will just quietly happen through attrition and soft restructuring. My guess is the latter.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

What is supposed to be the benefit of changing vertical frames to horizontal?

This change by RM actually makes sense. There's less twisting of the body. Throwing in is quicker. 2 people can bag up the same frame and HCT walks, you just chuck the parcels above the column and it's easier to prep. There's not much RM gets right but once you relearn the frame it's better IMO.
But it’s ok to stand doing doing IPs for an hour and a half and 5 hour deliveries won’t harm your body? No sorry
6+ hours of delivery.

My partner’s been off this week with no cover, so I have only been taking tracked and first-class mail, the first hour of the day I have been throwing mail in, all double slots the mail is now crammed. The cuticles on every finger on my right hand are ripped and bleeding 🩸 this could be the future

Half of us went one having one frame to ourselves per duty, to now sharing a frame together( inches from each other now trying to get things done) single slots to double slots, some of the busiest jobs in our office . We now have no room on top of frames for packets ( a pkt company ) pkts falling on us every day.We all know pkts are through the roof now. No room in new layout for yorks in the aisles. Union came in , kinda like its just the way it is. Stressful being on top of each other at frame, mail rammed now dbl slots esp after 2/3 days mail. Takes longer to get out , and just a mess.

Take a ppicture and send it to the HSE (you're allowed to take pictures for things like this) Honestly if HSE saw the state of the bags, the frames and the pot holed ground we have to push the yorks over, they'd throw the book at RM.
