Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
The takeover isn't expected until the 2nd quarter of the year now, due to having to wait for Romania to tick their box.
I'd expect at least another month of P&M shares if not 2 or 3.

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
April update shares this month were purchased on 07/04/25)
25 shares purchased @ £3.65195 + 2 free per £100 gross/monthly investment.
Contributions up to the end of March have been spent, Weekly paid employees had money deducted last week and will have this week, I don't know if this money will be used to purchase one final allocation of shares or it will have to be refunded but with the takeover nearing completion, this scheme will obviously finish very soon,

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
for the past 6.5 years the purchases have always been around 15/16/17th of month
I thought that was just some administrative limitation
Now suddenly past 2 months they've been able to advance that by 10 days... when the sale seems imminent!

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
mmmm This weeks pay, paid a day earlier on Maundy Thursday also has the regular Partnership and Matching deduction.
In the letter received this week from Equiniti it says in Appendix B Part 5 that the SIP will cease making additional purchases of shares shortly before the Unconditional Date. Nothing about any more bonus shares.

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
Surely next weeks wage, payable on the 25th has to be the last week for partnership deduction?
May even be that this week is the last, no news from anyone regarding this.

That depends on the offer actually going Unconditional, surely?robking wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025, 19:41mmmm This weeks pay, paid a day earlier on Maundy Thursday also has the regular Partnership and Matching deduction.

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
So got a letter today, dated 16th April.
Basically confirms what many have already said re SIP, summary below
Expectation is that if and when Offer becomes Unconditional (of which last date can be 30th April), the SIP will cease.
We will get our SIP share money within 3 weeks.
Any cash that had been deducted from pay but not yet used to buy shares (including residual cash from the las share purchase) will be returned in the next payroll run.
Will obviously get taxed/NIC’d on any money returned the payroll.
The £3.60/share we get from sale of SIP shares will be from CGT.
The 8p/share dividend may be subject to CGT depending on your circumstances

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
It might be worth noting that anyone holding RM shares outside the SIP, such as in a nominee account, may be subject to CGT.
For anyone who's left RM and has moved their shares into a nominee account, I think any potential gain is based on the share price on the day the shares were taken out of the SIP, compared to the takeover price of £3.60.
You can still make capital gains of £3,000 per year before CGT is applicable: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... tes-of-tax
CGT is not payable on dividends, but there is a different tax specifically for them. You can earn dividend income of £500 per year before that becomes an issue: https://www.gov.uk/tax-on-dividends
*Shares in an ISA are free from any tax.

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
Just seen my payslip for next Friday the 25th of April and partnership and Matching money has again been deducted as usual.
I've also received the letter that says the scheme will be closed once the offer becomes unconditional but it's not clear if we will get a final allocation of shares or not.
I could ring them up and ask but I would probably get someone who doesn't really know, so I'll wait and see,

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
If the offer becomes unconditional by the 30th April the Sip will end and monies refunded will be subject to tax and NI
If he doesn't reach the required percentage the scheme continues as normal.

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
I don’t mind, either way, if the takeover goes ahead unconditional or not.
The bid was a cheeky one, given the coming USO reforms. IDS is worth more than 370p per n my opinion. So if the bid lapses, the SIP continues and I continue to acquire £100 of shares every month at a cost far less than that (because of the tax breaks).
If the offer succeeds, I get full value for the SIP shares, without paying tax. Contributions cease, and my take-home pay goes up by at least £15.70, a rise of 3.3%

ditto, except, as I'm in the habit of giving up the £100/month from pay, I'll be increasing my DC Pension conts by that amount. Great time to do that too with stocks being at a low.wandle wrote: ↑23 Apr 2025, 03:10I don’t mind, either way, if the takeover goes ahead unconditional or not.
