60,000 steps across a five day period?
I do 30,000 per day at the moment
I was gonna say! I do only 10,000 or sometimes 12 and I’m on a rural mostly driving. When I did a town round the other day it was Over 20, closer to 25k and it was on a Tuesday. But then we do already have 6hour delivery spans (supposed to be on longer days Wednesday and Thursday but that was before they added more on)
So if they want to implement the changes in our office they will need to put 25% more rounds in or something like that. So it wouldn’t make any savings.

The latest one to go live today (?) was "Usk a small DO in Wales", why are RM/the CWU messing about with small offices when it's the big ones which are going to have the issues when they go live?
A staggering 13 duties in that office if the Network Review document is accurate. Small offices are probably easier to flood with spare bodies from surrounding offices if the trial spirals into the abyss.
It's not by accident-all deliberate and planned that way to give the best possible PR

I think RM picked the offices they wanted to use going on the data they have and how many singletons the office has and the union desperate to be part of it all just nodded and agreed to it all.

CWU picked all but 3 of the pilots. They have a clear skin in the game as there is no plan B, well there is but it involves a 3 day USO and tens of thousands of job losses. Simply put, the trials have to work.
It's a foregone conclusion. My question is: why the sudden impetus that's totally not related to the imminent sale of the company? No-one was forecasting mail volumes would ever return to growth (ignoring the freak year 2021) so this should have been a fully-formed plan years ago, but instead it's being rushed through this specific summer.

I do 20-25k most days
On town round again today finished it but took me few hours over. 27k steps.
Some people are just take a row of mail or half their frame and doing tracked. Both the new starters have now quit. One to Amazon.
