Clocking out early
I'm trying to figure out why my overtime on my payslip is almost always less than I worked. This month its down by 8 hours. However, this month has been unusual in that I've had some very quiet days where I've signed out early rather than sitting around killing time until my shift time is up.
Do the payroll people use SISO data to deduct from your claimed overtime for days when you went home early?

Check with your manager to see how much he is actually paying you for each bit of overtime you do.

That doesn't answer the question of why they have worked overtime and been short changed with wages though does it?BenacreNick wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025, 11:22Your no longer allowed to leave early Johnathan. Join the long queue at the Siso machine about 10 mins before your finish time,
On a new contract, 8 hours probably puts them below minimum wage which I would imagine is illegal

Re: Clocking out early
Or are you just ignoring the agreed 8 hours labour, over and above the agreed contractual wage that have been apparently unpaid here?Londonsburning wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025, 13:34That doesn't answer the question of why they have worked overtime and been short changed with wages though does it?BenacreNick wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025, 11:22Your no longer allowed to leave early Johnathan. Re: Clocking out early
They cut off the monthly OT deadline much sooner due to financial year end — think it was cut off on 5/6 April or thereabouts. Your eight hours should be rolled forward to next month.Jonathan Alsatian wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025, 20:54I'm trying to figure out why my overtime on my payslip is almost always less than I worked. Re: Clocking out early
What makes you so special to leave earlier than anyone else? We all want to go home and if your clocking out early and getting pay deducted it's your own fault. I hate sitting around especially when there are no door to doors to prep but we all have to do it.Jonathan Alsatian wrote: ↑26 Apr 2025, 20:54I'm trying to figure out why my overtime on my payslip is almost always less than I worked. Sorry for the harsh post but no one should go early on their own accord and expect to be paid.

Have you lot lost your minds? ha ha. Why are you having a go at this person? They are on a new contract, have worked OT and have not been paid for it. Bring on the banking of hours...hewittinspain wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025, 15:29What makes you so special to leave earlier than anyone else? Re: Clocking out early
OP (as it stands) hasn't been paid OT they are due. It's up to managers to allocate work for those who finish their duty before their official duty time. If they don't that's their incompetence. There's no RM wide declaration (yet) AFAIK that completing your work before your contracted hours, not being allocated work and then leaving work results in OT earned at another point results in OT not being paid. What do you suggest the clawback time scale is? A week, 2 weeks, a month?hewittinspain wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025, 15:29What makes you so special to leave earlier than anyone else? If you are seriously sat at your frame/in the canteen waiting for your finish time/because your manager is being a jobsworth, that is just

Nobody clocks out early in our DO, why would you as you just know sooner or later you'll be having extra delivery points added to your duty?yellowbelly wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025, 17:54OP (as it stands) hasn't been paid OT they are due. Re: Clocking out early
You don't even have to clock out early to get flagged up.
We've had duty holders in the past whose PDA's stop scanning anything with 90 mins of their shift remaining. Guess then who got given the 100 new houses built next to their duty.
