No ones burying their head for the past 15 or so years all we hear is "we have to change" even when RM MAKE PROFIT it goes to share holders and not reinvested just look how Simon Thompson and many ceo's have left with millions for literally failing is DK gonna be another,just being "positive"about the trials hasn't got the glow the staff once had before privitisation.

I totally agree that since privatisation we have seen the erosion of the fantastic service we used to be proud to provide. Profit before quality has seriously undermined everything that I loved about the job. Rewarding past CEOs for failing is something neither we or the union had any say in and only the RM board can answer for that.

As a postie I was proud to provide a first class service, often going above and beyond to do that. Like most government departments too many people took liberties which resulted in an ever decreasing profit due to gross inefficiencies. The privatisation would only ever result in this mess we are in now where restricted budgets results in understaffing and the inevitable failures to provide an adequate service all in the pursuit of profits to be paid to the shareholders.

I have only a few years to retirement and hope to continue tp do my best for my customers but it is nearly impossible to provide the level of service that they have had in the past. I remember the days when you were quizzed by the DOM for bringing a single letter back
