Yes it's one of the options but you get an additional Saturday off the week after your week off, bear in mind though I think in the details it says something like the whole office is supposed to be on the same attendance pattern but I might be incorrect

Already doing the Wallington system so a slight increase in the working day to get another Saturday would be my preference

9 day fortnights look about the best to me.

4 day weeks sound horrible but I can’t see them being offered on shared duties.

Four day week.
Extra fifty or so days off a year outweighs the longer days.
Long days doesn't bother me because of the reward of better work life balance. Also more rest days mean exactly that, more rest.
Longer days doesn't mean more fatigue in my opinion.
Less days at work also means less travelling time to and from work.
Allot of people spend at least an hour getting ready and travelling to and from work.
Over the course of year that's allot of hours out of your year.
That has to be considered as taking time out your personal life.

According to the USO trial office update. The most popular schedule was the 2 in 5 weeks.
Followed by a hybrid 2 in 6 with Wally weeks.
Does anyone have the pdf file with all the USO attendance patterns? What was disturbed on our end before was a low res screenshot.

I would opt for the 4 day week but the way that it is currently being dressed up by the CWU is not win-win. It is like choosing the best of the worst available options on show.

The company has spent billions in automation and it is not going to stop investing in ideas and processes which will inevitably lead to less indoor work and more outdoor work for posties. We have already seen our start and finish times negatively impacted by these changes so we need something to counteract this with and for me the only real solution as regards a better work-life balance and improved productivity in RM is the shorter working week.

Some people might suggest that it won't stop some posties dragging things out but if you had an earlier finish time they wouldn't need to. You don't put the cart before the horse. If the 3 days worth of mail isn't being completed in the time then surely the greater long term solution is not to give posties even more hours (on the same pay) to help fill that gap with more work - it is to recruit more f**ing posties!!

They gonna cut staff by vr or natural retirement isn't that what all this is about more work with less staff its a business not a service whether you like it or not.
