Definitely keep posting and getting stuck in. Retired workers are as important as all other workers. You are now able to do and say what you want without fear of reprisal from the industry and it's union. Get stuck in and help workers change their world.
Was never scared of reprisal in the first place, there's enough on here for RM to work out who i am. The problem they would have is that i only told true facts and it's difficult to come after somebody telling the truth.
You keep spreading the "word"...... you never know somebody might actually listen.
18 years is a reminder why people have worked so long at the company. RM used to be a great company to work for back in the day and whilst the pay was never outstanding, it wasn't the worse pay for anyone that had legs and could read plus the terms and conditions then were second to none. That public service that we used to provide will be completely decimated in the future as we transition more towards a glorified parcel company and sadly it's all about the men in suits at the top running off with all the loot.

For starters posties need to ditch the CWU and start their own union, a union that looks after posties, not mail center staff and every other job in RM, just posties, and it needs to be fully democratic not back room deals with leaders shafting their members over and most of all any union leadership needs to have their salary capped at twice that of the lowest paid full time member they represent. This would be a union I sign up for, not the pathetic sorry excuse for a union posties have now.

CWU is in shambles. Sold out the very people supporting them, they are nothing but a charity begging for your weekly 3 quid odds payment to keep them from losing out on their own cushy lifestyle. How many of them are slinking back to a delivery duty? None

Sometimes that's the catalyst to get you moving and we are thinking sell up and downsize, get a camper van and tour uk and ireland for starters.
