It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The densest three-dimensional lattice sphere packing has each sphere touching twelve other spheres, and this is almost certainly true for any arrangement of spheres (the Kepler conjecture). Twelve is also the kissing number in three dimensions.

It's so bad i have given up all hope. I delivered last weeks mail this week and over the last 4 days have managed to get some semblance of something approaching normality, now we are understaffed again so it's a rinse and repeat.ted_e_bear wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025, 16:41Oh come on scotchy you're the only office in the country that's underperforming![]()
But sure it's great to be top of the naughty list.
For the first time in a while i am thinking quite seriously about jumping ship as the stress is a bit of a pain.

I have long ago given up on VR being a option in this company, it's either retirement or move on for a few years then retire.Mr Rush wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025, 20:36Every turn of the screw saves them from ever having to pay out VR.scotchy1962 wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025, 18:31For the first time in a while i am thinking quite seriously about jumping ship as the stress is a bit of a pain.
I have the option to jump ship in the next few weeks and might well do it.
Being a "legacy" worker means it really grates when you can't deliver the mail and the whole town has been up in arms about the lack of post, they don't blame us local guys and do realise what has been happening, but i still feel guilty as i have known most of these people all of my life.
