Tracked

Post by Dingo99 »

Hi all, last week and today I have been getting lots of Tracked No Signature, yet when I scan them (like today some contact lenses that should have just gone through the letterbox with nothing but a photograph) it comes up with the dot saying I need a signature. Really annoying, I was just wondering if any other posties on here have encountered the same, really pi55ing me off. My colleague said some posties were moaning on the chat on Facebook ( I am not on Facebook), I think it used to be called 1st Class Chat at some point.

Someone mentioned that in another thread. The new scanning system has only just gone live in MCs, maybe they broke something when implementing that

I’ve had this a few times recently and just treat it like a glitch. Photo and address number should do.

Yep. Bloody annoying. Signatures are a complete waste of time anyway since we have to take a photo for all of them, which was rolled out to all non-photo Tracked in 2022 to be the end-all for denial of receipt claims.
The machine stops.

I noticed this too at the back end of last week.
Maybe 20% of stuff asking for signature.
Most of them didn't get delivered where normally they would have been safeplaced. 🤷

This has been happening for me too. I had at least five items yesterday (Monday) that said no signature on the label yet prompted for one on the PDA. Mainly contact lenses and Photobox items.

Had loads recently, still safeplacing them when I can but making sure the picture shows the bit saying no signature on the parcel. It’s a glitch somewhere we have been told.

Did this glitch start at the same time that we started scanning all packets to yorks (each packet is "tagged" to a specific york)?

Same.

I'm making sure the photo shows the label as "No Signature" and signing it DWS.
