Makes you wonder doesn't it, I've said before there's absolutely f**k all chance of most of the do managers being able to implement that example of Evie does parcels some days and two others do mail then they swap then they have a day off then they don't all work Saturday and it's a 9 day fortnight

haven’t read whole thread but if your doing 1st class and tracked on 2 rounds that’s not possible here at all. people struggle doing tracked on 2 rounds with nhs letters, and collections. doing all the 1st class mail on 2 walking rounds here you could be walking over 20 miles easily.

I remember reading about delivery 2.0 over a year ago. Remember it was a huge failure and some of the office's were scrambling to undo it and return back to the way it was.
But that was quite a while ago.
So does anyone know why it failed so badly and which offices where it had to be reversed?
Was hoping to get feedback from Martin Walsh regarding this issue. Cause it doesn't sound agreed. Thought all revisions were stopped?

I have tried to find out about it as We are due to have it and no one seems to want to tell Us anything. Makes You wonder what the F is going on

I was thinking about my office where town rounds are done by walkers, they don’t drive and don’t have driving licences. Are these people going to be forced to take redundancy?
And when people have to do 2 rural rounds now they can’t do mail as well as the tracked. Rounds were made to
be 6 hours before they did another revision added
more in so on heavy days like last wednesday, people took their tracked and a row of mail perhaps 2 rows max. I guess it is possible if more rounds get put back in, but even then I can’t see it working.

Non drivers will never be doing 2 rounds with 1st class and parcels.
Personally I think the future is bleak for non drivers (and I say that as a non driver) but it isn't yet terminal.

Future looks bleak for everyone, can’t see how it’s possible. Hopefully they have the sense to NOT enforce this everywhere.
I can see it working in offices with loads of van shares and people are still finishing early, but we got a 445pm finish and that’s not achievable now. Get so many tracked, even as you say it will be a driver doing them and first class on busy days across 2 rounds they will be walking most of it. Easily going to be close to 20miles if they don’t put rounds back in.
Last time I did a town round and was using a van and mostly
doing tracked and about half the mail still walked over 15 miles.

There's more than one seat in the van. I don't see why a non-driver can't be dropped off with something (1st class letters, small Tracked, anything) or even just ride along to give a hand when it's busy.

I've been inside doing D2D all day. It's awful. Assisting the CSP was novel when that was an option. As much as I hate working past 3PM on a Saturday, I'd rather be on the street if I have to.

Yes but they cost more money than they would get back on their investment as has been pointed out countless times

What will happen to posties like me who went down to part time , i do a Monday to Wendesday for 4 weeks then the next 4 weeks i do Thursday to Saturday. Asked the union rep and he said i maybe doing a 11 hour day twice a week, but i think he has not really got a clue and is just guessing .

If you are a non driver in an office packed with non drivers, that’s a worry, but if you are very much in the minority in your office, there is obviously work for you.
