Read his post Lou, its 9 months a year but spread out over the whole year. Probably why it works out less.
On the plus side, a 3 month holiday sounds attractive.

May seem a bit odd but , as I'm getting on a bit and sometimes need a quick dash to the loo , being on my own is no problem. Just jump in the van and visit the nearest one. How does that work if you're in a team of say 3 or 4 and get caught short and nowhere to go ? I mean hopefully you'll be fine but for me I'd see that as a huge problem.. that's a reason I could never van share. Nappies I'd guess

Basically it's a pay of £19.200 to £20,500 (after a year) spread over 12 months so it's basically a 27.5hr contract on average over the 12 months but you are actually full time for 9 months of 37hrs so that is spread in even monthly payments over the year.
They can ask you to go in for a few weeks especially around Xmas time but that is your choice but you will get additional pay on top of what you are already getting so you can double your months wage. They are due a 5% payrise which will bring it to £21500 so although I'll take a hit on my 35hr RM wage of around £100 but could be a lot less within 3-4 years.
I just have to get my head around monthly pay

Might be time to look for a new venture if these uso changes are coming in.
