Should be back to 2 Years. No ifs or buts.
i remember when walsh mentioned this in one of his facebook live things , and he said 12 months is more than enough , and he also said do we increase vr to pay people to leave or pay more to the people who stay and work in the company , it was like listening to one of royal mail bosses
It’s infuriating, they are all just an extension of management at this point🤯🤯

Then why did the managers get 24 months money? 18 would be fair

Probably because the managers are members of a real union. IE unite

5.5 Review of Voluntary Redundancy Terms

EP Group and CWU agree that there is a need to review the current voluntary redundancy terms, as
a key measure to help avoid compulsory redundancies. Revised voluntary redundancy terms will be
agreed no later than three months after the completion of the Transaction.
As the takeover has not actually happened yet.........

Unite is a discount shopping club for RM managers. To think it's any sort of "real union" is just bizarre.

They look after their members way better than the CWU does to be fair.

The vast majority of us won't get a sniff of VR so don't build your hopes up (aimed at nobody in particular).

We used to have a ‘ready reckoner’ on the wall a my old office, a grid with applicant’s age down one side, length of service across the top. You just looked for your current age, find the box that coincided with l-o-s and it gave a close estimate of how many weeks’ VR you’d get.
From memory, under the 2-year maximum, I think the minimum was 19 years service, more if you were younger.
To get the 9 months maximum must be a lot lower.
Basic maths would indicate 7 years or so?

If you want a recap of what the ready reckoner said, it's on this site - viewtopic.php?f=36&t=74407
