Sack this level of HR.

Bring the posties letters and parcels to sort.
Give us a van to go deliver it

Let us go home.

Not hard is it?
It makes no difference what we do or say, this job is finished and it's backed up by certain people on here and at your workplace :wave
I keep reading this "This job is finished" line on here and i am not sure exactly what you all are frying to say/mean, if you are saying the job has changed for good, well worked out Einstein i could have told you that years ago, but if you mean its finished/done/over/ended, you are wrong.
This job will continue as is until somebody informs people that letters are illegal and everything will be coming electronically or on your smartphone by message, probably within a generation when the amount is to small to justify it and the older generation non tech savvies have passed away. Then we will become the Amazon model they crave.
So eventually yes "the job will be finished" just not quite yet.

Letters are currently on the vertical part of an exponential decline. At the end of this decade, assuming trends continue, it should start to flatten out and the long tail would settle at around one billion a year a quarter of a century from now. Rather, I expect RMG/IDS to do everything in its power to keep volumes plunging toward zero so it can sooner 'liberate' itself from such an onerous task as the thing it was founded to do.

IDS will not have a letter delivery section within the next 10 years is my belief.

The Royal Mail brand with the letters side of the business will be sold to the highest bidder as soon as IDS are legally allowed to offload it

Some of this is on the walls of our DO at the moment. No-one looks at it because :
a/ we don`t have time,
b/ no-one cares,
c/ it justifies some laptop jockey`s job.
d/ just let us get of with our increasingly difficult job,
e/ f**k `em all.
