I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Do we know what the proposed pay increase will be? Realistically should be 4-5% to actually see a difference in the pay packet

I love the way they just casually state how much everybody will be getting on a daily/weekly basis, as if we will be able to deliver it.
Can't do it at the moment and no matter how they decide to attempt it unless the duties are shrunk it won't happen.
I know they say if it's not manageable there'll be no agreement, but if all i read on here is actually true then the majority of offices will fail.
So what do you do then?
More cups of tea/coffee and hobnobs?
Blame the posties?
I am interested to see what our union has when push comes to shove.

Clever enough to state that there are conditions to be met before CWU agrees to take it forward. That simply means that it will taken forward without agreement.

I'll tell you what's not changed. Jokers like this fella in his Lacoste jumper telling workers that they need to change whilst he carries on the grand old tradition of the CWU where he gets to avoid carrying a bag and lives a life paid for by hard working postal workers. There was absolutely nothing new in this latest propaganda. It had one aim - crying out to workers to join the CWU to keep the joker in his Lacoste jumpers. Jog on.

I think the dogs in the street know that these conditions/protections/veto mean absolutely nothing. Not one supporting voice as far as I can see on the coal face.

Easy for them as they won’t be going anywhere near a delivery.

Cwu has also agreed to 10000 less staff. 2600 through vr.

If they can increase the terms of the VRs they will be killed in the stampede.

If what he’s proposing comes in without a substantial payrise for all the union membership will fall off a cliff.

Model your workplace on ODM, work out the 9 day fortnights. The trials aren't entire workplaces because it's a nightmare. Workers without duties, over resourced at times, no cover for days off, duties that are too big. Deliveries need a break. They need duties reducing and delivery spans shrinking. The CWU ain't going to sign up to that because there's no profit in it. Not that it doesn't provide an income, purely that it doesn't provide money to line the pockets of the shareholders. Lacoste boy ain't interested because he's got a cushy life doing f**k all.

Hooligan wannabe there ain't throwing the towel in. He's making sure he gets to stay off the bag and keeps the Lacoste jumpers rolling in. It was a recruiting video, nowt else. Please, please join the CWU, my moncleur socks aren't cheap. Get to f**k.
