CWU Facebook:If these trials fail, then what?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

That headline should be 'when they fail..."

Of course they’ll fail but RM management will just railroad it in anyway then leave it to each unit to make it work. 12 months down the line they’ll say how inefficient we are & that the business needs to change & the Union will say that postmen must understand that they need to change to protect their job.
As I keep saying - this is such a simple job & business to run but Oh no they had to start fiddling with it & ever since they’ve had to fiddle more & more to try & correct one F**k up after another. No wonder the business is in a mess!!!!!
Message to all other F**k tards that want to start “changing” a successful business - LEAVE THE F*****G THING ALONE!!!!!

They dont even need to by its very nature theres going to be excess staff for the trials that wouldnt be there when implemented and the headcount is reducedscoobydo79 wrote: ↑04 Feb 2025, 19:20They will throw money and staffing at this to make it work don’t you worry.
Thats why its not really a truly reflective trial - they will just be getting the surplus bodies in the office to mop up
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Agreed, I've said that a couple of times now, if they don't redeploy the surplus staff elsewhere or have them sweeping the yard or anything not connected to the mail then the trials can't possibly paint a true picture.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑04 Feb 2025, 20:07They dont even need to by its very nature theres going to be excess staff for the trials that wouldnt be there when implemented and the headcount is reducedscoobydo79 wrote: ↑04 Feb 2025, 19:20They will throw money and staffing at this to make it work don’t you worry.

Part of me wants it to fail.... if it means more VR or a shorter working week then I'm all for it.
It's all an unknown and nobody knows where this is heading. Even if it is a 'success' then it doesn't mean it's going to be fun going forward. We will essentially have 2 days mail every other day. I don't have any hope for workloads becoming manageable.

Not every other day
Every day except Mon and Tue when you will have 3 days

5 day uso with Saturdays dropped seems more practical than all this.
