Have they cut down on recruitment ?

Post by ted_e_bear »

Just out of interest I've had a look on the Royal Mail jobs site and for postperson there's only 66 ads for the entire UK, seems a bit low.

We were told no more permanent posties being recruited until after the takeover, ie, there is a pause on recruitment. Instead, we now have six-month-contract employees who are employed by Angard as casuals but with a six-month guarantee of hours/work. They remain Angard casuals, rather than RM directly-employed employees, throughout.

Piss take, I got no faith in this company or the CWU. The company needs a total rebuild

It's probably going to slow to next to nothing in the coming months if the USO changes will reduce the need for numbers.
The company will want to pay as little as possible for redundancies.

Then by the 2nd week of November this year they will just employ another s**t load of agency workers for 6/7 weeks lol.

Hopefully your next 'peak' postie  ain't agency, new start or DPR :left:
