Quoting Orwell doesn't make you intelligent, it just means you have read Animal Farm.
And I'm not sure that quoting an Old Etonian is the best way to win people over to the socialist cause.
It may be that transiirc is a bit of a champagne socialist.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Very good Clash, a "champagne socialist" i will keep that for future reference.
Is that what Blair was, getting to old to remember that far back.

Blair was never any sort of "champagne socialist" as he never tried to portray himself as any sort of Hard-left Working class hero.
Billy Bragg, Paul Weller, Sir Anthony Wedgewood Benn, J*remy C*rbyn, Lily Allen and many others do fit the mould very well though.

Orwell had many faults but he knew who his enemy was and took up arms in Spain. The slur of champagne socialist is a classic of the right wing trade union bureaucrat. Lazy bigoted bag avoiding scumbags.

No, Blair was a social democrat. Not completely unlike the trade union bureaucrats of the CWU.

That's some sick revisionism going on there. Absolutely disgusting. Tony Benn never claimed to be 'hard let's and he certainly wasn't. Weller disowned his entire political output.

He did, and in his writing he was vociferous in his condemnation of Communism in general and Stalin/USSR in particular.

Orwell had many faults
Eric Blair was a policeman in Burma - an imperialist lackey.
Had you quoted someone like Presidente Gonzalo, Comandante Tomas Borge or even Comandanta Ramona I might have taken you seriously but you clearly don't take the struggle seriously.
You want to be like Boxer? You are more Boxer Rebellion.
Lightweight.
