New contracts

Post by Peabrain22 »

Any whispers yet on what the new contracts will get from April.. I know it won't be much but something has to change.. the responsibility alone with 80 tracks a day never mind half a dozen what could be expensive specials and f****d out on a sunday for a flat day..at least amazon got a smallvpay rise. Theres just no incentive to work extra.. you are asked nearly told to do it with no positive outlook for the employee.. just with the min wage going to 12.20 now we are right beside it and royal mail say they like to be 10% above it..try 20 for what we do.. I know the old contracts get the last of the percentage payments then that's it as well in april as far as I knew so the trumpets will be out once there settled again...

CWU rep came in and said there will be an "uplift" in April. So that could be anything really.
Until we hear an official announcement, we do not know.

I will leave if the increase is a pittance and I'm sure many others will too.

They have just cut the overtime in our office so I can't see where the increase of hours are supposed to come from.. It's crazy because without the overtime no way is the mail going out daily..

They have changed your O/T hours because when you take your holidays you won't get any extra holiday pay even though you did an extra 60 hours a month every month apart from January when you missed your 8 hours because O/T ban
