I've read people on here wanting DPR's brought back and even advocate work being given to Parcel Force instead of getting kept 'in house'. You're going to want your DO to be as busy as possible over the next 6 months in my view, once the takeover/USO change happens staff will be made surplus - granted more may be moved up to full time, but headcount will certainly be down.

Why don’t you ask your rep instead of making the assumption that just because you are not told of behind the scenes activity, that must mean that nothing is happening and that you are being treated like fungus?

Well take it from me as a person who works in an office with three reps, the silence does not mean nothing is happening behind the scenes, and not all reps have meekly accepted what is happening, some have put their job on the line by questioning the shambles.

Do we know why this overtime ban is in place immediately after raking in a fortune over Xmas? Are the books that bad or are they just being hyper awkward twats?

It’s purely for managers to sponge the last few budget bonuses before the takeover. Hopefully the new owners will get rid of these overpaid crooks. Makes you laugh, got 5 managers in our office on DOMs wages earning £48k a year even after they reintroduced the DOM position.

There's a real physiological impact on a person that cannot complete the work they should be doing.(Even when unachievable) Impossible walks do damage to the service but also to the humans that cannot complete them. It's not always easy for some to switch off and just bring it back. Those that have witnessed the service decline are probably most affected.

It's the {Communication Workers} {Union}. Not the {Communication} {Workers' Union}. I once saw a document from Area and if I had a red pen I would have marked every line. I appreciate not all were schooled in the classics so I let the atrocious grammar and general confused message slide. The spelling mistakes, though, were unforgivable as it was clearly word processed and not produced on a typewriter.

You are paid to work a certain amount of hours, there is no service obligations in your personal contract, it’s on the company and it’s their choice to work this way.

You need to change your mindset towards the job , see it as working a certain amount of hours a day and things become a lot easier.
