Fake MOT

Any truth that RM are doing fake MOT ( IE not putting it through, just passing it) and VOSA have noticed and fined posties taking these van £1000 for each fault?

RM operate on a traffic light system with regards its fleet & Vosa.
For decades we were on a green light, few MOT failures & a fleet that’s good & up to date.
Because the fleet is now old, knackered & ucked & a number of MOT failures have occurred RM are now at Amber.
Unheard of for RM!

Me neither, yes the van check highlights if a brake light is out or the tyres need changing etc but surely we're not supposed to know if a bottom track rod end balljoint washer or whatever is worn, perhaps they'll have to send us all on courses to become an MOT inspector

Given how poorly some repairs are carried out it wouldn't come as much of a surprise if MOT's aren't being done correctly? Perhaps that explains why the only Combo's you still see on the road are RM vans!

Nonsense. However it possible for MOT's to expire and for a vehicle to still be in service. The instructor is taking shite.

More than sure most of our RM fleet is maintained services & MOT’ed by RM employed mechanics & technicians?
If our fleet was sent out to be MOT’ed at an independent dealership garage they would NOT pass the MOT.

Are you saying the RM garages are incompetent/bent then? How would you know this, and if you know it don't you think VOSA do too?
