Scan as inaccessible Parcels you don't have time to deliver!

Post by POSTMAN »

This is going on in an office near me, anyone else?
Was in the news also the other day...

Royal Mail postal workers 'told by higher-ups to fake deliveries so bosses could keep their bonuses'
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Been happening for a few years. Now there are just way too many parcels to deal with rather than a couple of odd awkward addresses.

Bog standard practice since the invention of Tracked parcels.
I think partly through a lack of training many people wouldn't even know 'delivery not attempted' was an option.

All the more reason to scan delivery not attempted, if they want to change it let them do it

Rather than.scan as Inaccessible, It's better to go to Delivery Not Attempted on the Enquiry Office app of the PDA, scan, then submit as Retention

"It comes as some customers have reported receiving said 'inaccessible' emails despite not hearing a knock at the door, the Telegraph reports."

It's a surefire way of getting complaints, our towns Facebook site has quite a few comments saying the usual I was in/no one came/my drive is totally clear etc

Then again customers claim you've not knocked when you know you have! We've always been told to scan them "delivery not attempted" to avoid complaints as they apparently cost RM money.

You’re not allowed to select that.

You’re not allowed to select that.
Not allowed by who? Management worried about losing their bonus?

Yep, those people. We’d be shot for selecting that truthful option on the pda.
