An Oxfordshire MP paid visits to multiple sorting offices at Royal Mail's busiest time of year.
Calum Miller, MP for Bicester and Woodstock, paid visits to the teams at Bicester and Kidlington sorting offices last week.
Bicester’s sorting office handles 450,000 items a day, delivering to 27,000 homes across Bicester and the surrounding area.
He told us: "This has been a difficult time for our hard-working postal staff due to uncertainty about the ownership and future direction of Royal Mail.

"There is a need for investment in the business and I heard from the team about the difference this would make to their ability to meet customer expectations.
"I know they are hoping for more clarity in the new year."
Mr Miller said the volume of items - hundreds of thousands - going through the sorting offices each week "really surprised" him.
He said: "I was really impressed by the speed of manual sorting as the posties put their deliveries in the order of their walks.
"I also picked up some tips on the quickest routes for delivering particular areas."
He praised the work of the staff, adding: "I was really glad to have the chance to say thank you to our local posties for all they do for their communities.
"At this time of year, we are very aware of how their work brings joy to many people when they hear from loved ones."
