Yep. The 2/3 days mail will probably be the new normal once the trial is a great success and is implemented the week after.fb1969 wrote: ↑24 Dec 2024, 18:50I think you'd better start job hunting now.norris9 wrote: ↑24 Dec 2024, 17:12Tiring... praying Kretinsky comes in and fixes everything otherwise I don't think I'll be staying too much longer if things don't get better.
I ask for a manageable workload, fully staffed office (no 2 days mail) and more options in terms of flexible working/hours.

This comment nearly made me throw up my turkey sandwiches!

Worst I've ever seen and the Network Review played its part in that. Painfully longing for the days when the packets only filled up two drop bags instead of four yorks.
The machine stops.

Why do so many people think that the Sphincter is going to come in and not only save the place but improve it? He’s a ruthless businessman who more than likely has been behind the downgrading of service over the last couple of years. He ain’t gonna save anything that isn’t gonna make himself a fast buck!!!

I really enjoyed my TWO day break! Made it all worth while.
While my Manager awarded himself a nice SIX day Extra Long Weekend for all his hard work. Mind you it must be very hard polishing that chair with his Fat Arse!

You only have look at all the foreign take overs, Cadburys for example Kraft made loads of promises to keep everything the same after take over they moved the factory out to Poland, changed the ingredients and jacked up the prices then it was sold to Mondelez.GRS wrote: ↑27 Dec 2024, 20:14Why do so many people think that the Sphincter is going to come in and not only save the place but improve it? Royal Mail have lot of real estates especially London it would not surprise me if Kretinsky will sell them off as it will be a private company, there's one person benefitting from that.

Once the Sphincter has taken over I expect we'll see another Network Review and realignments in all RDCs, MCs and DOs within a year

Because van shares are the pits of hell and single duty’s and HCTs cruise through the whole year including Christmas stress free. At least that’s the case in our office.

Take the world record for the three-legged race and compare it to an amateur's 100m sprint. P&L is a notch above the egg and spoon race.

That’s just it. Our manager has made the single duties too big to compensate but the amount of work that can get done in the same time is remarkable.

In 29 years service the busiest ever for packets , no organisation from above , short staffed and no extra staff a complete balls up from start of December to the end of December, as long as the top knobs ger there huge bonuses, left mail in on many days duty never achievable.

Had three dedicated parcel drivers who took the oversized.
As a p/ter, I came in hour early to do 10 of "our" oversized. Ended up with the remaining being half a york and 2 or 3 drop bags. Back on time.
Hard work, but not as bad as I`d feared.
