Fines for lost mail

Post by Wullie10 »

It's interesting that Royal Mail are the only courier who can be find for lost of stolen mail. Whilst on my round I have to virtually climb over piles of parcels left by other couriers, on doorsteps, sometimes when the person is at home. And yet these companies face no penalties like Royal Mail does. Why is the company not kicking up a stink how unfair this is ?

Because the company thinks: if you can't beat them, join them.
The machine stops.

The fines are for not reaching delivery targets for 1st and 2nd class mail, not for parcels.

A good chunk of what we send out to DOs as packets are technically large letters
