Number 1, doubt any of main radio stations will play it, probably don't want to be jailed.

Could have been a very useful magnifying glass on the winter fuel policy decision but instead descended into a load of right wing tropes, which is a shame.

Satire on the present government's ill-thought out plans = Right Wing now?
Seems there's enough Labour MP's who aren't happy with it either.

Most people agree with the policy to stop the universal payment to those that don’t need it.

Universal child benefit was stopped for those earning over a certain income so why not the winter fuel supplement.

I have not met a single person who agrees with stopping it.

I haven't either. Many seem to see it as yet another symbol of "socialist" (hoho) Starmer's government's general ineptitude.
I don't see how Barnacle can claim "most" either.

Lol it was the Tories who introduced the 'universal' payment. Paying tens of thousands of pensioners who are financially better off than most 'millenials' the winter fuel allowance. How on earth is that starmers governments ineptitude?

Why do all these people you are speaking to, want to give £300 to people who don’t need it?

How could you possibly know that they don't?

We already know that there are pensioners who have received the universal cold weather payment of £300, who are hardly on their uppers. No one would call Alan Sugar skint. Anyone on any income was receiving it and that is clearly wrong and had to be stopped.
