Soo we had the first opening of the Royal Mail advent calender this week 17 days too late. The rewards for the best performers o a plastic coffee cup and a £10 voucher whoopie!

That sums up do management, can't be arsed to do their jobs, and what's more disappointing they get away with it.

It's causing all sorts of unhappiness across the country. Imagine a scenario where on the same day one worker got £50 worth of vouchers and another worker got a water bottle.

Some workers are asking how this is fair. And what happened to the previous scheme that saw money being paid out to workers.

We’ve had ours opened consistently. I won a £25 voucher on the first day. Prizes seem to have gone downhill from there though — the £10 voucher won by one of my workmates seems a bit stingy/insulting imho, the Christmas jumper won by someone else seemed so thin it looked threadbare, and the Bluetooth speaker my colleague won is laughable. Not sure if the value of the prize is somehow linked to how busy a day it really was on the day your performance (according to MyPerformance) was the office best?

The advent calendar is very unfair . Most people are working to the best of their abilities and trying hard to get things done this time of year .
Everyone should be treated equally.
If someone suffers from anxiety and they are doing the best they can , how will they feel if someone eles wins prizes .it will probably make them feel they are not good enough.
This time of year we are all doing our best and working harder people should not be singled out . When we are all doing our best .

It's a joke. The perennial sickie guy won the £50. I won a water bottle which to be honest I need a new one to pee in the back of the van.

Same people winning prizes in our office but whatever. I normally have a large s**t when all that is going on anyway.

Is it true you can't be registered as the best performer to qualify for one of the prizes if you don't drive a van equipped with a Trimble tracking device, as there is no safety score recorded on your PDA data? If true, that is really unfair. The majority of the van fleet in our office is 15 years old and these vans were never fitted with Trimble.

Our office has a daily draw, everyone's name in a bag and one picked out every morn, seems the fairest way, only down side is theres over 40 people in our place and just 24 prizes, so half will miss out completely..

Ours is based on your performance and SISO. So if, for example, not naming names, you are not a driver and deliver to a really sh** area with no safe places to dump parcels and you were one of the half dozen in your office that a SISO glitch affected 6 weeks ago, you ain’t getting nothing.
