Does anyone actually know what we get paid if we were to fall sick. I think I have the norovirus so will need to call in sick but I just have no idea on the pay policy. Will it be SSP for the first couple of days then back to full pay etc?

Remember with Norovirus/sickness and diaorrhea you should stay away from work until 48 hours after your last symptoms as you can still spread it

Feel like leaving the union over this , htf has this been allowed to be pushed in. Punished for being ill even a cpl of days in a year takes a day off your wage. Lost all faith in union now

Considering that many posties will be forced to return to work on pain of economic hardship I agree as SSP equates to around £15 a day. There was also reduced compensation for those leaving on IHR (ill health retirement) as well.

They want us to make our best effort to come in, ok we'll come in with our various virus and bacteria, infect the lot of them.
