perhaps, but the net cost of £23 has actually been £16.56-£15.64 (depending on NIC rate when purchased).
So even if share price had remained flat, on exit that's a ~30% uplift just due to the Tax & NI relief we've benefitted from as well as the dividends along the way
Alot of people can't grasp that. Don't forget free shares also.
Looked at mine and with the free shares and subject to not paying tax/insurance on them they are nearly worth double what I have paid for them
Out of interest would IDS usually announce a potential dividend payment before the "potential" takeover becomes official in March?
Obviously there's an offer on the table to buy our shares including a small dividend
There was no dividend proposed for the half year ending 30th September, the full year ends 31st of March but by then the takeover will have become unconditional.
So the next and last, dividend we receive will be the 8p a share special dividend which is related to the takeover.
