Advice Please!
I posted 3 parcels from UK to Bermuda via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed For on 29th November. 2 have arrived, but the 3rd one is showing it is in Northern Ireland MC and has been there since 6th December without any movement. The other 2 parcels tracking were via Langley/Gatwick as usual, but I've never had a parcel go via Northern Ireland before. RM phone line is of no help. Could anyone please advise how I can contact Northern Ireland MC, or is there a current problem causing the delay? I'm wondering if it's been sent to NI in error... I'd be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Re: Advice Please!
When parcels are sent to Northern Ireland from the mainland UK, it typically indicates an issue with the contents, customs, or a problem with the address that may be damaged or incorrect.Tisme wrote: ↑16 Dec 2024, 22:40I posted 3 parcels from UK to Bermuda via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed For on 29th November. 2 have arrived, but the 3rd one is showing it is in Northern Ireland MC and has been there since 6th December without any movement. Re: Advice Please!
Thank you for your replies which are greatly appreciated. All 3 parcels were posted together from Upton PO, Wirral, UK. I've just checked RM tracking again and still no movement from NI since 6th December... I've been sending boxes to my cousin for 15 years and always ensure they're well packed/taped etc., Her name and address are on typed labels and the Customs Form is always attached with contents etc., before I take them to the PO. The contents are just Christmas chocs/biscuits/pudding/and a collapsible walking stick as she's 86. Nothing I haven't sent her before, over the years! Don't know how I can chase it in NI...

Re: Advice Please!
Typed label: that could be the problem, if it falls off and there is no return address elsewhere on the package then it will end up in the NRC in Belfast. I always write direct on to the parcel, anything else is asking for trouble.
You don’t need to go to Belfast, you just need to submit a lost parcel form.

Re: Advice Please!
Thanks for your reply. The address label is always stuck on with loads of clear sellotape and my return address also written on the side of the parcel with a waterproof felt tip pen and clear sellotape over it for good measure... I can't submit a lost parcel claim for a couple of months. I'm perplexed as to how it's ended up in NI as the packaging was OTT with tape the same as the other 2 parcels which have arrived safely in Bermuda.
