Seems quiet at MSH, thought is that it can’t be seen to be a failure after spending all that money on it so much of the work has been diverted elsewhere !

Xmas cards are certainly way down. Normally by now we'd be running probably 20 boxes per batch and once the final batch had been run, we'd run batches again which had a large number of leftover boxes. This year after running everything to hand in one hit, there's onlabout 4-5 boxes left over per batch by the end of the night.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑15 Dec 2024, 12:29Cards are massively down and they are 90% second class stamps.
The DTS has been turned off for the last couple of weeks, due to be turned back on during Xmas week. The way it's going I reckon it'll get turned back on during the coming week

£1.35 to send an Xmas card on top of buying the card itself....not worth it anymore. Just send a Happy Xmas gif on Whatsapp instead for free.
Xmas cards will decline massively over the next years as people gradually run out of any stockpiles of the cheaper stamps they bought 1 or more years back.

I know it's only anecdotal, but the 2 boxes I empty have been ram jam full every day.

It's 85p for a 2nd class stamp, the postboxes I empty have been rammed for the last two weeks predominantly cards with 2nd class stamps on them.norris9 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2024, 07:31£1.35 to send an Xmas card on top of buying the card itself....not worth it anymore.
