Shopping catalogues aimed at older people - Hotter, Pavers, Damart, Patra etc. (other catalogues are available)
Some people still like to look at catalogues even though they then order online Screwfix etc.
Loyalty card stuff - Boots, Sainsbury's Tesco Waitrose etc.
Vets. I don't know why vets send so much stuff addressed to the animal.

It is all dying a death. It won't last forever.
You're correct it won't, well that's what I think too, you know I reckon they could 'kill' all that off practically overnight if they could ditch the thorn in their side which is bulk mail downstream access whatever it is that enables companies to send out bulk mailings at a low price, if they could get rid of that they could concentrate on becoming the parcel company they aspire to.

Whenever I hand those types of catalogues to customers they usually say "that can go straight in the bin" or similar, it seems once a customer orders an item from them they are then forever on their mailing list.

The worst offenders are the cruises who not only refuse to update their records but sell the details on to similar companies so they get cruise brochures and canal boat brochures and holiday cottages etc etc.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
