Hi
I hope someone can help. I want to speak to someone at my local DO, in Hornchurch, but it seems impossible. The only number I could find was 03457 740 740. I've been through the menu system about a dozen times and the point I should join the queue, just after saying yes or no to a questionnaire, the line goes dead every time. It might be because my phone is supplied by my ISP which uses voice over IP, but how do I get in touch if that number doesn't work for me? I can't use my mobile phone because it is PAYG, and the line would cost 30p a minute, and if I'm queued for half an hour, that would be more than the cost of the special delivery I'm trying to phone about! I've already filled in a complaint form but that takes three days for an answer.

Voice Over IP is the new normal, I don’t think it is that.

I just don't understand what is causing the problem then. I've tried several times since I posted before and I still haven't been able to hear any music or notification that you would hear if you joined the queue, the line just goes dead every time. It must be pushing 20 times over three days at various times and I haven't got through once.

I suspect that they are just very busy with the pre-Christmas rush.
