2.0 and 2.1

You know. The one big frame with lots of double slots. Any news on how it’s working? Good or bad?

We haven't got the big frame, but everything has been doubled slotted, we were meant to be losing the big parcels but that hasn't really happened either.

Get with the times - Martin Walsh was talking about Delivery 3.0 in a thread last week. No time to rest in a job that offers nothing but constant change and eternal struggle. Zang Tumb Tumb go the managers!

Mr Wash suggested on here that 2.0 might not go ahead and that we would skip straight to 3.0 when the uso changes. It sounded like we would need proper managers to implement such changes as the current crop certainly aren’t up to it.

Ah yes. The alternating delivery thing.

Day 1 you take shed loads on unachievable Walk1, and bring loads of it back.
Day 2 you take shed loads on unachievable Walk 2, and bring loads back.
........
Day 5 the entire office is a bombsite, no-one knows what's 1st class or 2nd class in rammed frames, clipboard wielding managers are running round like headless chickens, it takes twice as long to prep on Walk God-Knows-What, and you bring almost all of it back.

That's what I've said for a while, absolutely no chance of the current lot that are in charge in delivery offices implementing it so that it's workable in any way whatsoever.

RM will then announce a Union backed new service called ‘Callback’ whereby those who’ve missed their parcel earlier in the day click a link and the postie has to go back at the end of their round with it.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Who the seriously F**K is coming up with these names.

Delivery 2.0
Delivery 3.0
Etc Etc

What the hell does it even mean! People going round parroting it because it sounds like they’re trendy & knowledgeable. It’s bad enough hearing/reading the muppets running the business spouting such nonsense but then we have the Union leaders sounding like they’ve swallowed a corporate dictionary.

What a load of horse s**t. Get it in to your over educated numb skulls that we stick bits of paper through a hole cut in a door & knock said door to hand over a cardboard box.

This is exactly why RM is in the state it is….. people with no idea of the business they’re involved in over thinking & over complicating things!!!!!!!!

I just wish those behind the scenes coming up with these new ideas actually put some thought into it.

I’m due to receive a parcel via UPS tomorrow. Unfortunately I’m out (I didn’t know it would be coming tomorrow, and with a value of £8 I didn’t expect it would need a signature). I’ve just been able to pre sign for it online and leave safe place instructions. I get that RM will want to retain a premium signature option (Special Delivery) but there should be the option for people to presign for Tracked and Recorded.

Think most couriers these days either take a photo of it in an open doorway or you read a one time use code to the driver

Doesn't that completely defeat the point of getting a signature? The signature is supposed to be proof of delivery.
