Re: Christmas Bonus
Not strictly true.
There are 2 x £100 bonuses.
One is based on your contracted hours though any part timer who has had a temporary amendment to their contract for the xmas pressure would get the full amount.
The other bonus is based on your worked hours and although the money paid before xmas will be pro rata any necessary amendment will be paid in January.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Christmas Bonus
Well explained, something I couldn’t be arsed to do. Still £200 for full timers though and the first portion is pro rata for part timers.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑03 Dec 2024, 18:31Not strictly true.

Re: Christmas Bonus
Does the bonus get affected by sickness?
Say you are off for a week, does it then go pro-rata? Assuming it's based on a 4 week period, then that means you'd get 75% of £200 = £150 ?

Re: Christmas Bonus
No unless you're on reduced pay ie you've had 6 months off and are on half pay so you'd only get half the bonus, it used to be a regular lie that managers told people they wouldn't get the bonus if off sick.

Re: Christmas Bonus
It is NOT a bonus ...the words bonus will not appear on your payslip. It is 2 separate payments negotiated years ago. None of these 2 payments have ever altered. You do not have to reach any kind of targets to receive these payments. Just because it is paid at xmas it is still NOT a bonus.

Re: Christmas Bonus
Full timers need to complete 4 weeks of xmas pressure to qualify for (full) the xmas bonus
Part timers need to complete 2 weeks of xmas pressure to qualify for the (pro rata) xmas bonus
(£100 of the 200 is from a botched share deal the other £100 is the xmas bonus)
This is FACT.
