Please can someone kindly help me make heads or tails of the tracking below
In a nutshell, arrives in my home town, get a notification out for delivery, then at 5:30 another notification "unable to deliver", postman never came (i was at home) heads back to home town mail sorting center and now its gone to another MSC 20-30 miles down the road, what the ****? lol

in what way BenacreNick, please kindly explain? if it was retained i would expect it to be retained at the local sorting office or DO but why it is at PSC? and why no further reasoning for the retention?

Some international sellers send items over in containers which are broken down and the contents put in the mail system only once in the UK. I think the tracking makes sense if both the following are true:
1. The item is from an overseas seller and it was sent over in a container as above (test for this: the tracking number would end with the letters GB).
2. The sender has garbled the address on the package in a way that would only be picked up at the local Delivery Office, e.g. a missing house number.
If that is the case then the parcel has probably been marked as Return To Sender and the sender's address is on the outside of the parcel.
