Anyone else had problems with pdas recently or anytime? my collections disseapeared off screen other day and pickups while out on duty by themselves pda wasnt in pocket watched it disseapear, does anyone else experienced this problem ? or would the royal mail IT team know whats going on?

its no the core route problem for me, been noticing boxes disapearing out there, just wondering if anyone else has had pda issues similar, maybe IT will know whats behind it

We had this in our office, someone came in to shake things up. Moved a frame across the sector that wasnt needed, and put balloons in the original space

The 'update' seems ropey.

On DPR if you save your manifest to draft while gunning in (which I often did due to the flakiness of the PDA's) the route disappears somewhere between confirming your departure time and downloading to outdoor.

That aside the usual glitches of logging out for no reason, random resets and constant buffering remain.

We have this same issue with save to draft too. And the other issues you mention.

In the hope it helps, we have worked out at our DO that those other issues (esp “buffering”) are down to the RM internal network and/or office Wi-Fi. We have a gun whose Wi-Fi is “broken”, meaning it is permanently using only 4G, even while in the office, and this PDA works perfectly and flawlessly 100% of the time. After lots of pestering, managers got IT to disable the wi-fi on a further three PDAs and these now also work perfectly. Admittedly, even on other guns (ie using wifi), it is nowhere near as bad as it used to be on RON. Might be worth seeing if you can break the wifi!

I scanned 40 parcels into a DPR yesterday.
They disappeared when doing the next one
Changed PDA's.
Scanned 140 in, went to depart office, got the circle of death aaaaand... gone.
All 140.
Head went totally.
Went to cool off and came back to find someone scanning them, again.
Gaffer just looked at me and shrugged his soldiers.
I just told him, right that's 20 less I'll be doing.
Multiply that throughout the country and how much time is it costing??

I do wonder how often the wi-fi in the office gets properly switched on/off again in our office which might help matters. Of course having someone doing this kind of routine online housekeeping as part of their work might cost a couple of hours a week so it's clearly preferable to lose hundreds of accumulated hours as everyone stares at and resets their PDA's.
